Firewise and Water Conservation Resources for Kids and Families

With Firewise and water conservation efforts in mind this season, there are activities and information for kids on Mount Lemmon.  The Arizona Interagency of Wildfire Prevention has a resource page for parents, teachers, and children.  There are downloadable coloring books, a “Just-In-Case Family Plan” of what to do in case of an evacuation, and interactive games.  The US Environmental Protection Agency has a page dedicated to water conservation tips and activities for kids to explore.  There is even a WaterSense interactive game that is available on their website.

When you are in Tucson, the Sabino Canyon Volunteer Naturalists Group is hosting a free Summer Storytime event for ages 3-6 yrs of age on Wednesday in June and July.  To learn more, go to our Mt Lemmon Community Educational Resource page, or the main website to view each event on the Community Events Calendar.
