“The Coronado National Forest , Pima County, and Arizona Trail Association have announced a temporary detour of the Arizona National Scenic Trail (AZT) near the community of Summerhaven due to a construction project at the Marshal Gulch Trailhead.”

On 3/13/26 the U.S. Forest Service- Coronado National Forest announced that all seasonal gates on Mount Lemmon are open.

The Mount Lemmon Domestic Water Improvement District is now in Stage 2 curtailment. Please continue to conserve water to prevent transitioning to Stage 3. Thank you!

“The Santa Catalina Ranger District, Coronado National Forest, is planning prescribed fire operations from October 25, 2025, through March 2026 as weather conditions allow and in alignment with all required approvals. We use prescribed fires to help reduce overgrown vegetation and protect local communities, infrastructure, and natural resources from wildfires.

Prescribed fires planned for the area include:

  • Near the town of Summerhaven,
  • Soldier Camp area,
  • Willow Canyon area,
  • and around the General Hitchcock Campground. ”
